Madresfield Early Years Centre was established in 1994 by proprietress Mrs. Alice J Bennett, MBE, B.Ed (Hons), EYPS, along with her husband Christopher. Whilst raising four children on this spacious, working farm, the couple realised the vital importance of top quality care and education in the early years of childhood. Meeting a growing demand at the time, the centre has since established an enviable reputation for outstanding care and early years education for children in Malvern.
Carefully renovated buildings and purpose-designed facilities across the site include a safe car-park, large movement hall, kitchen and dining facilities, craft and cookery areas, music, art and drama facilities, reading rooms, cloakrooms, nappy changing areas, and a row of converted oast houses provide role play and train-play areas.
Attractive gardens and playgrounds surround the centre and link onto small animal paddocks which enable safe access onto the farmyard and 200 acres of beautiful pasture and woodlands beyond. We boast a specialist low and high level adventure playground and fully fenced area for ball games and team activities.
The Woodland School supports the needs of 'Forest School' activities, with a beautiful timber lodge housing our specialist baby care department and innovative baby garden. There are several, delightful nature walks around the farm and private woodlands, clearly marked for the children's use and enabling expeditions on foot.
Madresfield Early Years Centre employs over 50 carefully selected and well qualified staff, and is fully registered to receive government funding for 2, 3 and 4 year olds. Open 5 days a week, 8am - 6pm throughout 48 weeks of the year, we offer parents affordable and flexibile child care services according to their particular needs without expensive retainer costs.
In 2015, our proprietress, Mrs. Alice J Bennett (pictured above) was awarded an MBE for services to Early Years Education. An honour she shares with the dedicated and gifted team at Madresfield Early Years Centre.
Our Early Years OFSTED Reports for the past seven inspections have rated the quality of service as OUTSTANDING in all areas of provision, which is a tremendous achievement by all the staff at Madresfield Early Years Centre and an overwhelming endorsement of the top quality service provided by the team.
